Faller 110121 Volgelsheim Station Original replica of the train station located in the Alsace region, but can be used worldwide due to its construction.
Faller 110121 Volgelsheim Station Large-volume building in sand stone construction with floor-level entrance and exit doors and laterally adjoining waiting room. The colour scheme of the wall structure is realized true to life with an elaborate printing technique. The separate side building in the same colour scheme serves as a sanitary building. The gem among railway stations in Alsace-Lorraine: Volgelsheim is now one of the last fully preserved railway stations in the Alsace. The Prussian style construction shows typical features of the former railway station buildings. The keep-style clock tower with four roof slopes is abutted staircase-style by two additional buildings: a two-story station building which housed the station master's quarters in the upper floor, and a single-story annex used as an office. The WC building with the lamp storage room is detached. Today the Volgelsheim railway station houses various collections and interesting exhibits about Alsatian Railway and is the starting point of excursions by historical steam locomotives and carriages with open platforms.
