Kibri 37462 Water crane with swing arms 2 pieces
If the steam locomotive of a train had to replenish water, the locomotive did not always stop exactly at a water crane. Re-tightening or backing up would have meant an increased risk for passengers getting on and off. The articulated boom provided a certain length compensation in order to bring the nozzle up to the filling opening of the water tank in the locomotive tender without the train having to start. These types of water cranes were often part of the inventory of a railway depot. Also available in the Viessmann range as a functional model, item 5832.
