Model: From 1946 onwards, Daimler-Benz began to fundamentally revise the pre-war designs of its commercial vehicle program. After initially establishing itself on the market with medium and heavy trucks and with buses, the Stuttgart company began to think about re-entering the business with smaller vans. The result was the Mercedes-Benz L319, introduced in 1956. Produced almost 125,000 times between 1956 and 1968, it represented a major commercial success for Daimler-Benz AG.
