North American T-6 Texan was the most prolific and recognizable advanced trainer for the US during WWII. Used by the thousands by the US Army Air Corps, Navy and Marines, virtually every American pilot flew this aircraft during the war. The Texan went on to serve with distinction during the Korean war as a light attack, observation and forward air controller (FAC) aircraft.
